Preparing Your Faith Statement
The Book of Order requires candidates
to make a brief statement of their personal faith to the presbytery. [G-14.0402
a] These are guidelines, intended to assist in preparing that statement.

The statement is to be limited to one side
of one page of paper (8½ x 11).

It is to be single spaced.

The statement should be a carefully thought
out, confessional representation of one's personal beliefs.

The statement should include, but not be limited
to, the following topics:
The Persons and Doctrine of the Trinity.
The person and work of Jesus Christ.
The Church.
The Sacraments.
The Scriptures.
